Sarah Nivens - Sarah Nivens

Sarah Nivens received a masters degree in education from the University of Buffalo where she completed her major writing on Gifted Education in the Regular Education Classroom She also has a bachelor's degree in communication and theater. She received her teaching license in New York and in North Carolina where she taught third grade.

While attending graduate school Sarah began writing about NASCAR for The Inside Groove, a website for autoracing news. During this time she started attending media events for NASCAR's top three racing series, including the opening of the Victory Gang Camp started by the Petty family. In addition she began interviewing more and more race car drivers, gaining access to some of the top drivers in the three series. Sarah also did an in depth series on how to break into NASCAR.

After a few years Sarah was offered a writing position with another NASCAR website Stock Car City. Where she continued to expand her writing to include pieces on the history of NASCAR and its tracks and gave a detailed sketch of the drivers statistics at the track while living in Race City USA Mooresille, North Carolina.

For the last few years Sarah has taken a leave from writing to focus on her family. Sarah is married and has an eight year old stepdaughter. She is currently a stay at home mom living just south of Charlotte, NC and is working on her first novel.
